Remembering the genius of Piera
Tribute to Piera Degli Esposti at the Italian Pavillion thanks to the panel Piera degli Esposti. Italian Genius, moderated by ANICA President Francesco Rutelli with a preview of Tutte le storie di Piera, the documentary directed by Peter Marcias about the great actress (and not only). Among the attendants Marcias, Nicola Maccanico (CEO of Cinecittà S.p.A.), Gian Luca Farinelli (Director of Cineteca di Bologna), Giorgio Gosetti (Generale Delegate of Venice Days), director Piero Maccarinelli. President of La Biennale Roberto Cicutto sent a video message. Franco Degli Esposti remembered how Eduardo De Filippo defined the actress: «Chist’ è u’ verbo nuovo, int’a chesta voce ce stan ‘o cielo e ‘o mare» (This is a new language, in her voice there’s the sky and the sea)
