These are the ingredients of Paul & Paulette Take a Bath, in competition at the 39th International Critics’ Week. Jethro Massey writes and directs this debut feature, defined by SIC’s Director and General Delegate Beatrice Fiorentino as ‘an anomalous rom-com, a bizarre buddy movie with chiaroscuro hues‘, where ‘the Bataclan generation confronts its ghosts and the need to process personal and collective traumas through the staging of bloody episodes that exorcise Evil in History‘. Sans Dieu by Alessandro Rocca is the short film of the day in competition for SIC@SIC.
