Colapesce, Margherita Vicario, Fabio Massimo Capogrosso and CAM Sugar win

The Soundtrack Stars Award was presented to Lorenzo Urciullo in art Colapesce for Iddu, awarded as ciglior soundtrack for Italian films at Venice 81. “I started writing the music before the film was shot,” said Colapesce, “I had a script in my hand from which the characters’ characters were well understood. If for Toni Servillo’s character I wrote a grotesque theme for the one played by Elio Germano I had to be careful not to emphasize his character too much.” The award was presented by journalist Alessandra Magliaro.

The award to the other winning soundtrack, Joker: Folie à deux, will be presented tomorrow (Sept. 7, 2024) to someone from the film’s production team who is en route to the Venice Lido. In the motivation for the music curated by Hildur Guònattodir and performed by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, that of having been able to choose themes and songs that beautifully describe the feeling of the film. The Soundtrack Stars Award, is an award conceived and produced by Andrea Camporesi (Free Event) and organized with the SNGCI. The jury of the 12th edition, chaired by Laura Delli Colli was composed of Alessandra Magliaro, Alessandra Vitali, Giuseppe Fantasia, Denise Negri, Paolo Sommaruga, Stefania Ulivi, Fulvia Caprara, Carola Carulli, Flavio Natalia, Marina Sanna and Susanna Rotunno.
